Boy, 6, Dies in Pit Bull Attack
A California family’s pit bull attacked their 6-year-old son and mauled him to death, according to police reports.
The pit bull attacked 6-year-old Nephi Selu while he was playing in the backyard at his family’s home in Union City Monday morning.
Police investigators believe the dog may have attacked the boy when he tried to climb on the dog’s back.
The boy suffered bite wounds to the top of his head.
He was transported by emergency crews to a children’s hospital in Palo Alto, where he was pronounced dead.
