Chicago Man Attacked by Pit Bulls While Jogging
A 62-year-old man was attacked by two pit bulls as he jogged along the Chicago lakefront early Monday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred at about 6 a.m. while the man, whose name has not been released, was running along a path in Rainbow Beach Park.
The man was bitten on his arms, legs and face by two pit bulls, who were later shot and killed by police.
Police said the dogs attempted to attack them when they tried to rescue the victim.
The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
