Police Kill Bulldog After Attack on School Bus
Police in Maryland were forced to shoot and kill an American bulldog after it followed a group of children onto a school bus and attacked them, police officials said.
The 120-pound dog followed the students onto the Prince George’s County school bus in Clinton on Wednesday and began attacking them without provocation.
The school bus driver began striking the dog while it was biting one child’s leg in an attempt to free the child from the dog’s grip.
Four students from Fort Washington Forest Elementary School suffered bites and scratches in the attack.
Police were unable to restrain the dog and were forced to shoot and kill it at the scene. The dog is being tested for rabies and other diseases.
