Widow Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit for Deceased Husband

A woman has filed a $2 million lawsuit against police in Maine for the death of her husband.

According to the lawsuit, filed by Vicki Mckenney, police failed to de-escalate the situation and communicate with 66-year-old Stephen McKenney, who was threatening suicide with a revolver in his hand.

The lawsuit names as defendants Deputy Nicholas Mangino, who fired the shot that killed McKenney, the Cumberland County Sherrif’s Office and the Windham Police Department.
